Uragun Review Is it worth playing?

In our early access Uragun review, we take a closer look at the story of a robot searching for its pilot in a post-apocalyptic world.

Uragun review: To give brief information about Uragun, it is a crazy, …shooter game. The game, which recently opened to early access on Steam, was both developed and published by Kool2Play. Of course, it is not revolutionary in science fiction style games, but we can say that it is very successful with its extremely entertaining content, weapon mechanics and returns every penny you spend in the form of action.

WWE 2K25 Review; Is it worth playing?

Can a Robot Exist Without a Pilot?

In the game, we start as a robot that has just woken up from a deep sleep, innocent, pure, clean, with unchanged character (our robot should be praised), caught between evil robots that have taken over the world, and we challenge all the other robots to find our pilot. A game where the action never stops, something comes out of everywhere at any moment, we are constantly shooting, blowing things up, in short, every second is full of adrenaline.

Although it is an early access game, it really impressed me. It has very nice and fluid content. It has a lot of features and content at once. For now, we are doing more than 25 missions in just 3 regions. We have 5 main weapons, several enemy types and some special skills that we can use while defending ourselves. Of course, when it comes out of early access, new regions, missions, weapons, enemies and more content will be added to the game.

Uragun review (Early access)

As players level up, they earn currency, weapons, and credits based on their efficiency. The enemy wave increases exponentially and becomes more complex in each level. The increasing enemy level pushes us to constantly develop new strategies and be successful. If we do not make the necessary upgrades (in terms of weapons and features) for our mech, our robot, our success rate against the enemy in the next level drops significantly. We have a total of 3 lives for each level. Thanks to this, we have the opportunity to die and come back and create a new strategy against the enemy.

There are also intelligence items hidden in some areas in the game. You can find these and use them to develop the Mech. Since it is early access, the full story is not available right now, only a part of it is given to us.

Saving the World is in Our Hands

Uragun review (Early access)

The sections progress in the form of countries and cities of countries. The first section takes place in Barcelona, Spain. Since the entire world has been occupied by robots, we are gradually cleaning all cities and regions and making the country and therefore our world safe. You know, there are programs on our local TV channels that travel every inch of Anatolia, think of it like that, we are traveling every inch of the world, city by city, and taking it. (Vura Vura Anatolia ?? – Gürcan TV )

The robots we fight are not as good as us in principle. The only difference is that they fight in packs. We can defeat them all one on one, but when they come at us as a colony, it is inevitable that we will be cornered and get hit. No, the robots’ appearances are also delightful. Dude, why would a robot be a centipede or a spider or a scorpion? When 10s of spiders come at you at once, you panic and do everything, pressing all the buttons and literally trying to pass the level??

 Upgradeable Weapons and Features

Uragun review (Early access)

We use various weapons from the beginning to the end of the game. There are 5 different types of weapons, but the ones that have been with us for a long time are the Minigun (Mitraly Gun) and the Rocket Launcher. You can turn enemies into bullet maniacs by making serial shots with the Minigun (Mitraly Gun). It shoots so quickly that the traces it leaves behind as the bullets pass one after another resemble a wall. You can customize and improve the Minigun, thus increasing its shooting power and adding different types of shots. The Rocket Launcher helps you eliminate insurmountable obstacles, barricades, enemies in large numbers and end-of-level bosses by creating a small Hacı Bekir’s Turkish delight-like momentary surprise. Of course, these are not the only weapons in the game, there is a weapon that we shoot a beam from, you have to see it, it is indescribable. You can also upgrade and personalize your weapons with different modifications to reach a longer shooting range or to cause more damage.

Apart from weapons, we also have some additional features. For example, we can make an instant explosion wave. When there are multiple enemies surrounding us, when we can’t get out of the situation, an explosion solves everything. Or we can jump forward as if we were shouldering the enemies, this is a great feature that is sometimes used to escape from the enemy and sometimes to destroy. (It is one of the features I use the most)

Uragun review (Early access)

Uragun’s graphics are low-poly, so there aren’t many graphic options. But of course, don’t let that mean the game doesn’t look great. The graphics are in great harmony with the flow of the game. You could say that it actually has very high-quality graphics for a game in early access.

There is a music environment that constantly keeps the action high in the game. You know, there are music that plays in the background for hours on end, it’s the same kind of music. But since we’re in an action environment, it doesn’t bother the ear and we can even say that it’s not noticeable. The same can be said for the warning sounds. For example, when your health is low, it literally blows in your ear and gently warns you. While dealing with the constant enemy waves in the game, you don’t think about whether I’ve taken damage? Is my health low? Am I going to die? The moment you hear the sound, you involuntarily give yourself a boost.

Conclusion

Uragun review (Early access)

As I said, despite being an early access game, it really is a game that takes you captive. After a certain time, you don’t want to stop playing. Especially if you can’t pass a level and start over, you have to try the game over and over again with different strategies and each time you establish a different system and defeat your enemies. At the end of each level, a score screen appears and you see your success. If that score is not enough for you, you play the same level again from the beginning to increase it. While I was studying at university, I would get excited and take part in budgets to increase my low grades and for some reason I would always get a lower score than my current grade, so this is also possible in the game, you can decrease your score while getting excited and trying to increase it, oh think carefully ??

After hours of continuous play, I can say that Uragun will reach a lot of players in the coming months and will receive positive reviews from most of them. Because the biggest problems in today’s games are repetitive missions, low artificial intelligence and insufficient story, this game does not have them. What really intrigues me now is the improvements and developments that will come to the game during the early access period.
