From Australian developer Pat Naoum comes the upcoming hand-painted puzzle adventure The Master’s Pupil , which follows the life of Claude Monet through a rich variety of engaging visuals and dynamic soundscapes.

In The Master’s Pupil, which will be released on July 28, 2023, on Steam for Windows and Mac, and on Nintendo Store for Switch, players will navigate Claude Monet’s complex world through his eyes and help him complete his many masterpieces.
As you explore a gorgeous hand-painted landscape, puzzles involving color, physics, and space await you to solve in order to progress. Just as Claude Monet faced many trials and tribulations throughout his life, the game becomes more challenging and complex with each level, culminating in a battle to save the master artist’s eyes.
The Master’s Pupil puts art front and center, using a perfect blend of sound, gameplay, and visuals instead of words to delicately convey Claude Monet’s emotions and story. As they progress through the game and overcome challenges, players will be continually rewarded with stunning backdrops, enchanting music, and Monet’s own works, creating an unforgettable gaming experience that explores the uniqueness of the master’s life.

Developed by Pat Naoum alone and funded by Screen Australia, The Master’s Pupil promises to be a uniquely interactive experience, featuring over 80 puzzles involving physics, colour mixing and timing, and a non-speaking soundscape.
Hand-painted and expertly crafted, nearly every element of this game was meticulously crafted in real life using a real paintbrush before being transferred to the world. The results are unique visuals reminiscent of Monet’s work and filled with the developer’s personality.
In the game, you will experience the life of Claude Monet in a way that has never been done before. As you navigate complex 3D environments, you will learn more about the painter’s life and be immersed in a rich soundscape produced by independent composer Steven W Schouten.
